Blatant Thief!
My web cam picked up this individual strutting past the webcam with a gooseberry held aloft. No shame. Hope he enjoyed it and I have no doubt he came back for seconds, thirds, fourths etc. etc.
we are currently in the middle of a long heatwave here and weeds and plants are multiplying in sync. Yesterday I thought I would clear some oxygenating plants from my small pond as they were threatening to take over. So I pulled out a good couple of piles, left them on the side for any little creature to crawl out and go back in the pond. Then a movement caught my eye and this little fellow appeared!
Meet Naughtylis the Frog. I didn’t think I had any frogs this year as all the tadpoles disappeared. So pleased to see him. I have named him Naughtylis in a nod to Jules Verne and because he has that look of mischief about him.
